
MUSIC AND ARTS ACADEMY
The Music and Arts Academy’s main objective is to offer youth a different alternative through culture and art.
Mision Peace to the Nations foundation has supported the artistic, cultural, spiritual, moral and intellectual training of Cali’s people from every social level without distinction of race, gender, religious orientation or nationality and, with the sole purpose to help children, young people and adults who are victims of external conditions that threaten society –amongst which conditions we find unemployment, violence, criminality, and poverty to mention some-
One of the most important issues for us is to show youth a different alternative in life through arts and culture, focusing on constant training respecting the clear principles of coexistence, human rights and value training that permits the creation of new realities through creativity in visual, sound and on set productions that promote personal growth and a benefit to the community in general.
Keeping in mind the need much of our youth has to grow within a better environment than the one they’ve been surrounded by, while they intend to become a source of income for their families, we meet the need to change the methods so far developed in a four practical levels of training, so we can provide the students with a technical title once they’ve mastered their training, thus balancing the theoretical knowledge and training until developing excellently in the fields of arts and culture.

GRADUATE’S PROPHILE
MUSIC
This graduate is fully equipped to join companies, groups, academies, private and public schools and universities, independent entities and those financed by local, national or international founding.
This graduate may also work as a music teacher for formal and informal institutions and work as instrument player in a variety of musical groups. The graduate may also direct or produce musical events to promote art and culture as an agent of social and individual growth.
DANCE ACADEMY
This graduate will develop within dance companies in a variety of styles like jazz, contemporary and alternative for either official or private events that are both self- financed or third party sponsored. Let them be developed for Universities, national or international entities.
The graduate may also work as a teacher for formal and informal dancing institutions, dance choreographer for companies and groups and will likewise be equipped to produce and/or participate in such events to promote art and culture as an agent of social and individual growth.
METHODOLOGY

To us both techniques: Direct Instruction and Investigation are main components when teaching dance, so according to the character of each assignment there will be different teaching methods to guide the student into becoming a performer, a creative and a critic.
InvestigationMethod:
The student must have a clear understanding of each assignment with a critical sense that can motivate creativity being faithful to his/her personal impressions and the social ones demanded so by the project. Classes will be dictated with essential theoretical guidelines for students to feedback and get to their own ideas and creativity.
Methodological Series and exercises:
We’ll also work with exercises as basic tool for the learning of motor dexterity (techniques and standard movements)
Global and Analysis Method:
Our method is also based on a Global outlook for some assignments to develop creativity and values, being completed with problem solution and the method of analysis for more specific learning both physical and critical.
