RAINS AND RIVERS- THE PRINCIPLE OF PROSPERITY

Scripture: Genesis 1:26

Some good years ago, when Jimmy Swaggart fell in sin and news about it were spread all over, I decided I’d call the man to preach at my church… something many hated –the media amongst them- and even dared to make remarks to me about… But I felt it was good to do it and so I told him: “I want you to preach at my church, I want to show love to you and I won’t judge you!” I wanted to show mercy to this man!

Now that day at the church there was a man who had seen the whole thing and who wanted to show his appreciation to the matter so, he gave me five thousand dollars because of the kindness I had shown to the fallen pastor. Well, that money helped a lot to the building of our temple today and God started blessing us a big deal… all because of the mercy I had shown this fallen pastor.

Two weeks later I was playing golf with Dr. Oral Roberts and told him about the gift I had just received from that man… and he asked me to put lay my hand on his head and pray so that he would have an anointing of prosperity like me, for as he said: “We’re building a university and all the money we can get for it!” when I finished declaring prosperity over his life and projects, He told me: “you must release this anointing of prosperity to people at the churches where The Lord take you all around the globe”

Rains and rivers of prosperity becomes a nuclear subject to me for that reason!

According to Genesis 1:26-28, the first thing God told Adam and Eve was to have dominion over everything, and this means holding the key to power. In chapter 2:4-8 we find the origin of creation, and when it hadn’t even rain upon the earth, when there was neither man to toil it… nor actual soil to work with or seed to sow.

Why does man work the soil before planting a seed?

We know that as soon as a seed is planted, God sends rain and a harvest is to be expected… too much rain may not facilitate the life of the seed, but it nurtures the rivers.

According to Genesis 2:8 Eden was not THE garden in itself, but in the East side of it there was a garden (Vs.8) big enough to feed the family that was created; the garden was provided with trees, orchards, vegetables, water and a perfect weather. There was a certain river that would enter the garden as one line of water that would spread in four on its way out…

This particular river would trace a way toward gold and precious stones, so that if Adam wanted to find those things he’d have to follow the river

Traditionally we have been taught to call God for help and provision, to plea for His favor and fast constantly if we want to move His hand in our behalf, but God has already told us how to create and find our resources. So what He tells you today is to prepare yourself for what’s coming… your idea of business, your big chance is open today… you just need to work on it, He gives you the chance to find the provision He has for you… work hard, do your best and go for it.

The meaning of this four rivers, was God’s way to tell this couple they were ready to have it all and be able to take control over the land given to them.

Pison: distribution

Gihon: To turn around

Hidekel: fast, clear

Eufrates: successful, fruitful

I’m convinced God wants you to have what’s yours… arm yourself with His power and you will go faster, you will go for sure and certain against all odds.

It’s like the barrier of sound from which we recall the story of when the first rocket was invented back during the Second World War. A bunch of pilots had died testing the ultimate vehicle ever invented… much try out was done, and much money invested and lost. Then finally it worked… Now the man could think of Going to the moon… something that happened more than 20 years later!

But much trying, much working, much effort was required.

Our plans can succeed if we just work hard at it and if we just follow God’s vision for us!
