THE LIVING DEAD

March 3rd, 2012.
Speaker:Pr. Gerardo Aristizabal
Scripture: Genesis 1:26-28

Sin is a very heavy weight; however those who are spiritually numbed don’t seem to feel it that way.

God created us to His image and liking, He is Almighty, Powerful, Wise, Creator, Loving, Victorious… and all of these good qualities must reside within us as well; but are we really showing all of that or are why rather showing the most negative behavior?

The good qualities of The Lord must be evident in us and His Sanctity even more, if you think that because you are young then you respond to your instincts and hormones lots of times, do remember that your age must never be an excuse to avoid keeping yourself pure for Him…since we were created by Him, so the excuses and arguments of age, surrounding and so many others are just evil lies the enemy wants to use to trick us into failing our Father.

Sin goes against our nature (Judas 1:7) but still many find it too hard to commit and sanctify, they are all distracted and lending a constant ear to so many other voices, included their own nature.

There is a way to make it… and that is by “connecting” with what The Holy Spirit tells us, and according to this scripture in Judas, we realize sin is against our nature because we were created to not do it… we were created to please our Lord and not satisfy our flesh! We were created to live according to His will and be Holy!

We’ll start today with a series of conferences called: “Born to be holy”

We need to die to all the things that don’t please The Lord, but very much alive for Jesus our Savior (Romans 6:11) Being in sanctity is to live like He did… but this isn’t an event that takes place in the blink of an eye, it must be built and many just can’t stand it, so they get tired, they can’t go on, the fight is just too hard for them because it is a constant battle against the enemy; the devil knows that as long as you are sanctified then doors will be open to you and He will pour of His power and grace upon your life, to grant you all your dreams and much more… so be brave and take on your responsibility to be like The Savior, as we have been called to be His image and liking, as Jesus is our best role model.

In every situation, problem or condition before you, you will always need to ask yourself what would Jesus do in your place, and this question mark will guide you in the search of your path; this is when you realize you don’t come to The Temple to see who you meet or to be noticed! When temptation happens to come, no matter how strong it may be… that question will help you hold your ground and you will be as holy as your thoughts are. Be like Jesus, even if some think it too hard…. Or if arguments tell you that … “it was easier for Him because He was still Divine…” You have been called to be a child of God’s!

Now The Lord gave you a wonderful promise in John 14:12, that if we believe in Him, then we’ll work the things He did and even greater because He is with us. You too can please The Father and be holy, living with this promise as a certainty.

You need to relinquish all fleshy thoughts today, all those ideas that tell you that you can’t live in sanctity for Him, things that remind you all your sins and mistakes. I tell you today that you need a change on vocabulary and start talking the same words God does. The devil’s words and declarations have nothing to do with God’s purpose for your life!

Allow me to plant in your heart a couple of fundamental principles that will aide you to reach your goal of sanctity:

Chose to live in truth (Romans 1:25) this means to choose to follow the nature you were created by to begin with –SANCTITY- it isn’t about religion, which is the one thing that parts mankind from The Lord, and He came to teach us a lifestyle that would lead us to salvation and victory here on earth. The thing with religion is that it takes away the whole meaning of sanctity which is pleasing our Maker and it isn’t a boring choice, but the search of peace and true joy. All voids will be covered and you will enjoy your life, you will get up every morning to please The Lord, knowing that He is with you and that He will bless your path. Whatever you do will be backed up by Him who will defend you. Your life will be transformed, because He didn’t make you for sadness or to allow sin to bitter you up and give you frustration… when you choose the truth of God, you choose the nature God created you with!
Some seem to forget that God is our beginning and our end (Rev. 1:8), so when they go out, their emotions take control and so one day they’re ok with The Lord and the next one they don’t know what to do. Be careful not to be emotional and let others see that you belong to Jesus!

Your life must be a constant altar for The Lord: the word altar comes from the latin word: elevation. It is a space and consecrated structure to honor The Lord. In ancient times altars were built to offer sacrifices to God.
You need to be careful with so many philosophies and false doctrines that sale the idea that you must live in a constant denial so you will go to heaven just the same… it is an evil lie!

We want an easy life without sacrificing, we want sin to flow and we have a problem with offering ourselves to The Lord and lose focus. If you want to really be sanctified the one thing you need to do is dye to yourself! You need to be the altar for Jesus in your life, you need to be an offering and stop sacrificing to the enemy!

The true Christian is willing to die for Jesus… thanks to whom we are saved and we must deny ourselves to yield to Him (Mt. 19:29)
